Sydney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology, and a Master's degree in Social Work. During college, her research interests focused on Appalachian caregiving practices, intergenerational trauma, and the intersection of legal issues and inherited coping behaviors. 

Before establishing Stillpoint, Sydney gained professional experience within substance use treatment, inpatient psychiatric care, community mental health, and working in collaboration with legal systems. Her approach is grounded in understanding people within the context of their families, cultures, and lived experiences. She specializes in therapeutic work involving generational trauma, attachment concerns, women's issues, life transitions, and authentic identity development. 

Sydney also provides court-involved services, including reunification counseling, collateralized clinical assessments, mitigation evaluations, and parental capacity assessments. She finds deep purpose in helping individuals and families navigate complex circumstances.
